Oxford Daily Crime Report for Monday, Sept. 15
Oxford Police Department responded to the following incidents: six suspicious persons, five larcenies, three alarm calls, three motorist assists, two welfare concerns, two ambulance assists, two fire dept. assists, a lost property, an animal complaint, a malicious mischief, a harassment and a disturbance.
Oxford Police Department investigated six auto accidents, issued 27 tickets and made one arrest on domestic violence charges.
Oxford Police Department discovered two code enforcement violations: littering and a junked vehicle.
University Police Department responded to the following incidents: a service call for an ambulance at the Union, a service call for a motorist assist at Jeanette Phillips Drive, an accidental hit and run at the South lot, a petit larceny at Turner Center and a service call to investigate a suspicious person at the Union.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls: a heat duct malfunction at Brevard Hall, a smoking school bus caused by a water leak on Highway 6 West behind the Walmart area, a stove fire that went out by OFD’s arrival at Lafayette Courts #12 and a small gas spill from an overflowed gas tank at Kangaroo on University Ave.
