Rebel Yell Gone Silent: Stan Sandroni Dies at 64

In the midst of his 26th season, longtime Ole Miss sideline reporter and radio broadcaster Stan Sandroni passed away Wednesday.

Sandroni, 64, suffered a heart attack late Wednesday night.
Sandroni and Ole Miss Spirit publisher Chuck Rounsaville co-hosted the Rebel Yell Hotline radio show for 21 years, and Sandroni also hosted the Locker Room Show.
Sandroni is an eight-time Mississippi Sportscaster of the Year, most recently honored in 2008. Sandroni also worked in Greenville and was the voice of Delta State sports during his multi-decade career.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda, and his son, Christopher.

    There are no words to express the loss of Stan Sandroni. A true, fun loving man that loved his job, family and friends. You will be deeply missed. Thanks for all you did,smiles and laughs. Winderful memories. RIP Stan
