Ole Miss, Grove Ranked No. 2 in Best Collegiate Tailgate
After two weeks of college football, the first of many tailgate rankings has come out, and Ole Miss has been ranked one of the best once again.
USA Today released their rankings of the top 10 tailgating experiences in college football, and Ole Miss is ranked No. 2, falling just behind LSU and Death Valley in Baton Rouge.
The 10-acre spot in the center of campus, covered in green grass and often red and blue pop-up tents, has been the home of the Ole Miss tailgate since the 1950s, and thousands of Rebel fans and foes alike flock to the shaded spot for a catered meal, friendly faces and a tailgating experience that’s never forgotten.
USA Today also recognized Florida, Tennessee and Auburn among the top 10 tailgates, giving SEC schools half of the list. Other honorees were Penn State, Washington, Wisconsin, Iowa and Nebraska.
The Grove is continually named one of the best and most beautiful tailgates in the country, and maybe after a few home games under our belt, we can regain the No. 1 spot on the many lists to come this season after we roll out the red and blue carpet for fans seven times this year.
