In preparation of the season opener in the Georgia Dome next Thursday night against Boise State, the Rebels were back outside on the practice fields enduring the extreme heat.
Throughout the summer months and fall camp, the Rebels have only battled the heat twice this season usually opting for the cooler environment of the Manning Center.
“The guys did well enduring the heat outside,” Coach Hugh Freeze said. “Remember, at game time it will be 72 degrees inside the dome.”
Tolerating the heat will prove key to the Rebels chances in their second game against Vanderbilt outside at Titans Stadium with kickoff at 3:30 p.m. in Nashville, Tenn.
Ole Miss went through a light game preparation for Boise state that went well with only a few miscues during the whole walk-through.
Coach Freeze talked to the media after practice about some of the Rebels upcoming challenges.
