Tyler Keith's Acoustic Homage to 'The Outsiders'
do it for johnny from Tyler Keith on Vimeo.
Tyler Keith has finally done it. He’s recorded an acoustic album, and he will be busting out songs from it Wednesday night at Proud Larry’s.
Oxford’s king of raw-edged, urgent rock ‘n’ roll at its finest has stripped down the sound for this outing, but it’s just as visceral and presents his songwriting in a completely different, yet equally vital, light. The new album, Alias ‘Kid Twist’, is Keith’s ninth album.
“Do It for Johnny” is Keith’s love letter to S. E. Hinton’s The Outsiders, with a little bit of “I Fought the Law” thrown in for good, appropriate measure.
