Color Invasion 5K Hits Oxford Saturday, Aug. 23
Emeritus at Oxford, Providence Companion Care and other sponsors are excited to bring the first ever Color Run 5K to Oxford this Saturday, August 23! No matter if you sprint, jog, or just walk, all proceeds from the first annual Color Invasion of Oxford support the Mississippi Alzheimer’s Association.
What is a Color Run, you ask? Essentially it is a race where participants are doused and covered in different colors! According to thecolorrun.com, an organization that sponsors Color Runs across the country, the Color Invasion is less about a 10-minute mile and more about fun. There are two rules though, they say:
1. Wear all white at the starting line
2. Finish plastered in color!
The Color Run 5K starts at 8 a.m. at the Midtown Shopping Center. The cost is $40 for adults and $20 for children.
Be sure to register online at www.racesonline.com/events/colorinvasionoxford or Click Here to download a registration form that can be mailed or delivered to Providence Companion Care, located at 317 Heritage Drive, Suite 7-A.
Day-of registration will start at 7 a.m. on Saturday, August 23 in the Midtown Shopping Center.
