I don’t know about y’all, but I have been counting down the days until SEC football is back in business.

In just a little shy of two weeks, the Rebels will get down to business, showing  everyone this may be their year to finally reach new heights.

While I know most of the Rebel nation will be making the temperature rise in Hotlanta on August 28 as the Rebels take on Boise state, (aren’t you glad we a re not playing on that distracting blue turf by the way?) if you can’t make it to Atlanta, tomorrow, Aug. 16  is your chance to get up close and personal with your favorite Rebel players and coaches. It’s “Meet The Rebels Day” at the Manning Center

Kickoff will begin for Rebel Kids’ Club Members at 11:30 a.m., at the east entrance of the Manning Center. The rest of Rebel nation can join the festivities at noon at the south entrance. If you would like to enroll your little Rebel for the Kids Club, visit www.RebelKidsClub.com.

Fans will also get the chance to grab the new team posters and the  Rebel Shop will be available so fans can stock up on the latest Ole miss gear for the season. Coaches and players will be meeting and greeting fans from 12:30 p.m.- 2:30 p.m.

Well, I know most of us have a collection of items we’d love to get signed by our favorite Rebel, but you’re not the only one. To ensure that all fans get a chance for autographs, the policy is one autograph per fan. Unfortunately, if you’re looking to get a candid photograph with coaches and players, you’ll have to wait another time.

Mark your calendars, because the boys are back in business and ready to take over the SEC West in 2014. Stay tuned for more on what to expect from the Rebels this season and tailgating experiences like none other. Well, I guess it’s about time for a cigar y’all. Are you ready?
