Rebels Start Two-A-Day Practices
After Thursday’s practice, Coach Hugh Freeze addressed the media in attendance and talked about the first week of camp. His focus in practice is getting the Rebels ready to “embrace the day.”
Today’s practice kicked off the first day of two-a-days.
Some good things came from this morning — not all bad, Freeze stated.
“The team looked like they just tried to endure at the end of practice,” Freeze said. “If we want to go from good to great, we have to embrace each day and give great effort.”
The coaches will count on the leadership in the locker room to take the Rebels forward toward the opening game.
Some of the players who have thus far stood out in Freeze’s mind are CJ (Johnson), Bo (Wallace), Laqoun (Treadwell), Larmey (Tunsil), and DT (Shackelford).
Trae Elston and Ben Still followed Freeze tothe podium to discuss how camp was progressing for them.
The Rebels will go with full pads tomorrow, Friday. Saturday morning is still open to the public at 9:45 a.m. in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. The practice will not be a live scrimmage.
