The North Mississippi Hill Country Picnic was this weekend. The festival’s Waterford location has that majestic quality, set off the road amongst the hills with a blanket of red clay dirt the area is known for.
Featuring music, art and general merriment, the Picnic has become a meeting spot for blues lovers from this area and beyond. Amongst the revelers was a group of girls who met at Ole Miss and came there for a reunion, as well as a husband and wife who made the pilgrimage from Iowa.
The fun was, unfortunately, cut short by pesky summer thunder storms, but the camaraderie as folks hunkered down under tents and tarps still made for a good time!
See y’all there next year!
