Thad's Election-Eve Request for Your Vote
Tomorrow is the runoff election—and I’m asking for your vote so I can keep working to represent Mississippi in the United States Senate.
Tomorrow is also the beginning of how Republicans can take back the majority control of the Senate. With a Republican majority, I can do more for Mississippi to bring economic growth, jobs and opportunities to our state.
I can do more to help our military bases, our men and women in uniform, our veterans, our schools, community and junior colleges, and universities who are providing the research and training for jobs of the future.
As Chairman of the Appropriations Committee, I can do more to stop President Obama’s out-of-control spending and to make sure our conservative principles are at the forefront of policy decisions.
Here’s my personal commitment to you: If you will give me the honor of your vote tomorrow, I will do everything in my power to fight for Mississippi to make sure our state has a voice in the Senate like never before.
I’m optimistic for Mississippi’s future because I know the strength of our people and how we always pull together to collectively do what’s best for our state.
That’s the spirit of Mississippians that I’ve seen time and time again—and that’s the energy I’ve seen during this runoff campaign and the excitement about voting tomorrow.
Please ask your family, friends and co-workers to join you in voting tomorrow, and again, I would be honored to have your vote. The polls are open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thank you.
Thad Cochran is the senior senator from Mississippi.
