Old Taylor Detour Causes Headache for Oxford Residents
If you’re in Oxford this summer, you’ve probably been forced to find creative new ways to bypass Old Taylor Road near Highway 6. And any paths around Vaught-Hemmingway. Construction is well underway for a new parking garage on campus and MDOT is creating double round-abouts on Old Taylor. While these projects will lessen some previous headaches, the detours are causing new ones for a while.
Here are some pics to help get you through the detours on/near campus this summer.
The detour directs you back to Gertrude Ford Blvd behind the stadium.
Going the opposite direction on Hathorne.
A Quick left when you reach Coliseum Drive leads you to the turn on to Highway 6.
Turning on to Hathorne Road, construction vehicles make it difficult to even go 18 at times.
The youngest Manning’s honorary speed limit.
Right past the stadium, drivers turn on to Manning Way.
