The Oxford Daily Crime Report for Wednesday, June 11
The Oxford Police Department responded to the following incidents: five suspicious activities, a disturbance, a fire department assist, shoplifting, two animal assists, two welfare concerns, an ambulance assist, and a code enforcement.
OPD also investigated four wrecks, issued 21 traffic citations and made one arrest for careless driving and DUI 1st.
The Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls: a cancelled cal at the Veterans’ Home, a blown transformer on South Lamar, and a cancelled call at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
The University Police Department responded to a larceny incident for breaking into a coin operated machine at Carrier Hall. UPD also assisted with traffic at OU Stadium as the baseball team returned from Lafayette, La., and made vehicle stops for running stop signs on Grove Loop, Alumni Drive, and Fraternity Row.
