Summer Sunset Series in Grove Kicks Off Sunday

One of the great completely free-to-the-public opportunities each summer comes in the form of the Summer Sunset Series. One needs only a blanket or a chair and a smile.
The 2014 series begins Sunday, June 1 at 7 p.m. in the Grove with Jimmy Phillips & Ruminators. This first concert in the Summer Sunset Series is presented by Visit Oxford.
Four more concerts will fill out the Summer Sunset Series schedule (all at 7 p.m.):
June 8: The next concert in the Summer Sunset Series is presented by the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council and features music by the Alanna Mosely Band.
June 15: This week’s Summer Sunset Series is presented by the Gertrude C. Ford Center.
June 22: Music by Effie Burt. Music by Effie Burt starting at 7 in the Grove. This concert is presented by the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council.
June 29: The last concert in the Summer Sunset Series features music by Rocket 88. This concert is presented by the University of Mississippi Museum.
