Next week begins post season play with conference tournaments taking place and starting the count down to the NCAA selection.
During the past two years, the annual SEC tournament in Hoover, Ala. grew from just eight teams to the 12 vying for the conference crown today.
The Tournament Forecast: The Florida Gators took the conference by storm in 2014 and will likely win the SEC East and the regular season with just one win before going to Hoover. The Western champion, on the other hand, will probably not be determined until the final out of the last game on Saturday afternoon.
There is truly a four-team race for the division crown in the West. The Ole Miss Rebels lead the pack with a current 17-10 SEC record. Chasing the Rebels are Mississippi State, LSU and Alabama, each only a game or two behind.
The Rebels hope to secure a division title as they travel to College Station this weekend.
Miss. State (16-11 SEC) and Alabama (14-12 SEC) face each other this weekend and still have a shot to win the SEC West title. Remember, Alabama holds the tie-breaker over Ole Miss; they completed the three-game sweep earlier this season.
LSU (14-11-1) plays Auburn and also hold a tie-breaker over the Rebels.
Buckle up, Rebel fans. This one could get interesting.
