Man Arrested on Sexual Battery
The Oxford Police Department arrested Terence A. Slack, 51, on Thursday, on one count of attempted sexual battery of a juvenile. Slack’s bond was set at $15,000.
The Oxford Police Department investigated 13 wrecks, one ticket and 13 arrests, on the following charges: nine trespassing, two warrants served; suspended drivers license, child restraint violation and failure to obey traffic officer; and attempted sexual battery of a juvenile.
Oxford Police also responded to reports of six disturbances, two careless driving, malicious mischief, public drunk, suspicious person, welfare concern, ambulance assist, petit larceny and unauthorized use of another credit card.
The University Police Department responded to the following incidents Thursday, May 8: Suspicious vehicle on Sorority Row, four running a stop sign, two careless driving, disturbance at Stockard Hall, traffic assists on Coliseum Drive, two motor vehicle accidents, three hit-and-run accidents, harassment and a suspicious person at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
The Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls Thursday, May 8: – Call canceled, at Emeritus 100 Azalea Drive, at 11:18 a.m. – Assist Oxford Police Department with child location, Anderson Estates, at 9:04 p.m.
