Ole Miss senior second baseman Preston Overbey enters the final weekend series at home in the 2014 regular season with 43 hits, 2 home runs and 25 RBI.
Over the last four seasons in a Rebel uniform Overbey has drawn starts all over the field. He is currently on his way to picking up his fourth-straight career playing letter.
Overbey was born on September 11, 1991. He is the son of Micheal and Regina Overbey. His brother Jake was on the team until this season when he transferred up to Memphis to play.
Overby is from Jackson, Tenn. and played his high school ball there.
This season at the plate, Overbey is batting .262, with 19 runs scored, 43 hits, 6 doubles, 2 triples, 2 home runs and 25 RBI.
No. 1 takes the field with his Rebel teammates.
