Live Art Demos, Storyfest on Tap for Double Decker

Oxford’s Double Decker weekend is full of events to celebrate food, music and the arts! With the help of the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council and the Oxford Artist Guild, Double Decker visitors have the opportunity to meet their favorite local artists! Get the full schedule of events below.
Friday, April 25th
Self-Guided Studio Tour from 12 to 6 pm
Pick up a map for the Double Decker Studio tour at the Oxford Artist Guild Demo space on the Square on Friday. Tour local artist studios, purchase directly from the artists, and see where they create!
Live Artist Demonstrations – The Square by First National Bank from 12 to 5 p.m.
12-12:45 p.m. – Janet Barnes – Watercolor & Mark Barnes – Basketry
1-1:45 p.m. – Red Byrd – Assembly of toys
2-2:45 p.m. – Debbie Myers – Watercolor
3-3:45 p.m. – Plein Air Painting with the Art Guild
4-5 p.m. – University Museum
Saturday, April 26th
The Double Decker Storyfest
The Double Decker Storyfest will once again be on deck Saturday, April 25, 2014. This year’s Storyfest will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Parish Hall of St. Peter’s Church. Join us for this free family oriented event featuring some of Mississippi’s finest storytellers and musicians.
