UPDATE: Lyceum Reopend After Suspicious Package Scare
UPDATE: The University Department HAZMAT released the following update at 5 p.m.:
[quote]The suspicious package was evaluated and no danger was found by HAZMAT team. The Lyceum has been reopened.[/quote]

UM Today sent out the following alert at 4:13 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16:
[quote]A suspicious package was received at the Lyceum. The area is contained and Lyceum has been evacuated. Police, fire, and Emergency Management personnel are on the scene. Please avoid the Lyceum area until further notice to allow emergency personnel adequate room to work.
Details will be posted once more information is known.[/quote]
This news comes after Auburn University canceled classes today due to threatening messages left on a bathroom wall on campus. Today is the seventh anniversary of the Virginia Tech school shooting.
