The Daily Oxford Crime Report for March 25
Oxford Police Department investigators arrested Tikeyra Sims on Monday, on charges of felony shoplifting. Officers responded to Kroger on March 8, when management at the store signed charges of misdemeanor shoplifting against Sims. She was charged with felony shoplifting, because of previous shoplifting convictions. Sim’s bond was set at $1,500.
The Oxford Police Department investigated 10 wrecks, issued 12 tickets and made two arrests, for careless driving, and first-offense DUI, and warrants served.
Officers also responded to five reports of suspicious persons, four alarms, four disturbances, two ambulance assists, fire department assist, improper parking, stalking, grand larceny obstructing traffic and malicious mischief.
University Police Department reported the following incidents:
Monday, March 24
Speeding, two traffic assists, two indecent exposure incidents, ambulance needed at Alpha Omicron Pi, improper or no tag, speeding, motor vehicle accident, speeding, speeding, seatbelt violation, motor vehicle accident, speeding, speeding.
The Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Monday, March 24
– A fire alarm at Croft Institute, at 1974 university circle, at 9 a.m.
– A car fire at The Connection, at 2:10 p.m.
