Oxford High School Students Tapped as 2014 National Merit Finalists
The Oxford School District proudly acknowledges the academic talent of eleven Oxford High School (OHS) seniors who were named National Merit Finalists in the annual National Merit Scholarship Program.
Tapped as 2014 National Merit Finalists are OHS seniors (back row left to right) Abbigail Pullen, Yuqi (Mark) Zhao, Dion Kevin, Brian Clancy, Matthew Forgette, Yoomin Jo, (front row left to right) Joelle Young, Cynthia Torma, Shreya Mathur, Mary Kathryn Pearson, and Reid Mallette. The National Merit Scholarship Program honors individual students who show exceptional academic ability and potential for success in rigorous college studies.

The National Merit Scholarship Program began is an academic competition that began in 1955. Students enter the competition for recognition and college scholarships by taking the Pre-SAT and the National Merit Qualifying Test. According to the NMSP website, nearly 1.5 million high school students enter the competition each year.
