UM Museum Opens New Exhibit, Hosts Reception for Art Crawl
The University Museum announced their next exhibit The Figure: Portrait and Symbol Paintings and Bronze Works by Tom Corbin, which will run from March 18 through August 9, 2014. The opening reception is Tuesday March 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. as part of the Oxford Art Crawl.
Inspired by the iconography of youth, whimsy and nostalgia, Corbin’s collection includes bronze sculptures and pairings with the female figure being his primary muse. In addition to the open reception, Corbin is hosting an artist lecture at the museum to discuss his work on Thursday, March 27 from 7 to 9 p.m.
