Double Decker Artist Profile: Natalie Moorer
Food, music, and the arts will take center stage at the 19th annual Oxford Double Decker Arts Festival presented by C Spire on April 25-26, 2014. The festival brings together visitors and residents alike for a celebration of music, food, and the arts held on the picturesque Courthouse Square.
Many talented artists apply for booth space each year at the festival. One of this year’s art vendors will be Natalie Moorer, an Ole Miss student originally from Nashville.
Moorer is a jewelry designer and freelance artist. Her jewelry is the focus of her Double Decker booth. She creates handmade statement jewelry using sustainable materials and unique items such as shells, bones, and crystals. Her jewelry line, Driftwood, was featured in Nella | Oxford in the spring of 2013. Moorer’s Double Decker booth will also feature a series of oil paintings, mono-prints, and handpainted greeting cards.
