Rebel Baseball Travels to Southeastern Louisiana for Mid-Week Series

No.12 Ole Miss (14-2) travels to Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, La., after sweeping Arkansas-Little Rock in Oxford over the weekend.
Ole Miss junior Auston Bousfield pushed his average to .418 and leads the team with 14 runs scored. Bousfield is among the top 10 in the SEC in batting average, slugging percentage, and hitting this season. Senior Will Allen is second in the conference with 21 RBI this season, trailing A.J. Reed of Kentucky who leads with 28 RBI.
As a club, Ole Miss is hitting at a .322 clip which is second in the conference and sixth in scoring with 100 runs on the season.
The SLU Lions (9-5) won a series over Scared Heart University this past weekend at home. Jameson Fisher leads the Lions with a .422 batting average on a total of 16 runs scored. Fisher is prefect on the year with six stolen bases. His teammate, Brett Hoffman, is the team’s top run producer, hitting .302 and totaling of 17 RBI on the season so far.
Through the first 14 games of the season, the Lions, as a team, are hitting with an average of .282 with two home runs and 81 RBI.
The probable pitching matchup for this evenings game will face Ole Miss senior LHP Jeremy Massie versus senior RHP Sean Kennel for Southeastern Louisiana. Wednesday’s pitchers for either teams have not yet been announced.
The Rebels and the Lions are meeting for the 22nd time tonight. Ole Miss holds a 15-6 lead in the all-time series. Last season, the Rebels defeated SLU 2-0 and 6-2.
The first pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. tonight an 4 p.m. tomorrow. Fans can catch all the action on the Ole Miss Baseball Radio Network.
