Ole Miss Welcomes the Gators to the Tad Pad Saturday
The Ole Miss basketball team welcomes the Florida Gators to Oxford for an early morning Saturday tip-off at 11 a.m. on CBS.
Ole Miss (16-10, 7-6 SEC) hopes to pick up a much-needed victory over the Gators, after dropping Tuesday night’s game to the Kentucky Wildcats 84-70. The Rebels were led in scoring by junior Jarvis Summers with 22 points.
Summers’ comes in as one of the most improved players in the SEC. He ranks eighth in the league in scoring with 17.0 points per game.
Florida (24-2, 13-0 SEC) knocked off Auburn 71-66 on Wednesday night. Casey Prather leads the Gators in scoring this season, averaging 15.7 points per game. Teammate Scottie Wilbekin is a close second with 13.6 points each game.
The 13-0 start in conference play for Florida is the best start ever for them.
Saturday’s game will be the 105th meeting between the two teams, which the Gators hold a 61-43 lead. However, in Oxford, Ole Miss holds a 28-21 advantage. A win would give the Rebels their biggest victory over a high-ranked opponent this season.
Fans can watch all the action of the game on CBS or listen to the play-by-play on the Ole Miss Radio Network.
