Florida-Georgia Line Reps Ole Miss at Tupelo Concert
Last night, the country/rock band Florida-Georgia Line, with friends Colt Ford and Chris Lane, blew the roof off the Bancorp South Arena in Tupelo, Miss. Not only do they have head-bangingly fun original music, they performed their own renditions of everything from ‘Grenade’ by Bruno Mars to ‘I’m in a Hurry (and Don’t Know Why)’ by Alabama to ‘I’m sorry Mrs. Jackson’ by Outkast.
My fiance and I weren’t the only ones dancing in the aisles though. Head football coach Hugh Freeze was there with his daughter, met the band, and posted a picture on Twitter with Colt Ford. Lucky guy.
FGL band members Tyler Hubbard (from Monroe, Georgia) and Brian Kelley (from Ormond Beach, Florida) even felt the Ole Miss love. Before returning to the stage for their encore performance, they both changed into Ole Miss shirts, much to the dismay of the many Mississippi State fans in attendance.
So, Hotty Toddy, Florida-Georgia Line and thanks for a fun night!
