Chef Trey Bridgers is joining the team at My Michelle’s, which recently expanded its space on North Lamar to add a dining room and lunch buffet. Plans now also include breakfast service beginning in March.
Bridgers comes to My Michelle’s from his previous role as catering chef for Ole Miss Dining Services (Ararmark).
“Trey will join the team in March and will be taking over the restaurant as head chef,” says Owner Michelle Rounsaville. “I think Trey is going to be a huge asset to My Michelle’s. Not only will he complement our style well, but he will also bring a new and tasteful twist.”
Rounsaville believes the new buffet restaurant component of My Michelle’s—formerly solely a catering company—is unique in Oxford options.

“While there are several buffets offered and many restaurants that offer healthy/fresh options, there are none that combine the two,” she says. “I came up with the concept of the buffet from places like Whole Foods and I altered it to fit Oxford and our customers.”
It’s been well received enough to encourage Rounsaville to expand into the morning daypart.
“In the last month of being open,” Rounsaville says. “My Michelle’s lunch buffet has done so well that we have decided to add breakfast beginning March 3.”
My Michelle’s will host a ribbon-cutting at 4:30 on February 19.
