Storm Update From Weather Service: An Inch of Snow, Sleet Mixture
Here is the latest from the Weather Bureau.
Cold air behind a stalled frontal boundary will combine with Gulf moisture resulting in snow, sleet and freezing rain across parts of the South and Southeast through midweek. In addition to heavy snow, there is a potential for dangerous ice accumulations from the lower Mississippi Valley into the Carolinas.
Here is the Oxford forecast:
• Today, a 40 percent chance of snow before noon. Cloudy, with a high near 34. North northeast wind 10 to 15 mph.
• Tonight, a chance of rain, snow, and sleet before midnight, then snow likely. Cloudy, with a low around 27. North northeast wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow and sleet accumulation of around an inch possible.
• Wednesday, a slight chance of snow before noon, then a chance of rain. Cloudy, with a high near 39. North wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
