The No. 35 ranked Ole Miss women’s tennis team rebounded from a disappointing loss in the first round of the ITA Kick-Off Weekend to dominate No. 40 William & Mary 4-0 here Sunday at the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Tennis Facility.
“We took care of business today, not giving William & Mary any chance to get into the match,” head coach Mark Beyers said.  “We are proud of the girls for the way they bounced back after such a tough lossSaturday.”
The Rebels did not drop a set in the entire match.  Julia Jones and Zalina Khairudinova shut out the W&M team of Julia Casselbury/Sydney Smith 6-0 at No. 3 doubles, to remain undefeated at 5-0.   Coach Beyers switched up the top two doubles teams Sunday, and it worked.  The 19th ranked duo of Caroline Rohde-Moe and Marija Milutinovic downed Nabila Farah and Melanie Roy 6-2 to clinch the point.
It didn’t take long for the Rebels to gain the early advantage in singles, as they won all six first sets. First off the court, Milutinovic lost only one game to Casselbury, 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5 singles, to make it 2-0 and pick up her 10th win of the year.
Khairudinova downed Roy 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles to give Ole Miss a 3-0 lead, and then sophomore Mai El Kamash clinched the victory with her 6-0, 6-1 win over Farah at No. 4 singles.
When play stopped, the Rebels were up on all remaining courts.
Ole Miss returns home to host Jacksonville State next Saturday at 10 a.m.
