Lady Rebs Play Host to Mississippi State

The Lady Rebel basketball team go for their first SEC victory this season when they host Mississippi State on Thursday.
Ole Miss  (9-10, 0-5 SEC) dropped a 68-65 heart-breaker at Arkansas on Sunday afternoon. Senior Valenica McFarland scored 25 points against the Razorbacks. It was her seventh time this season to post 20 or more points in a game.
Junior Monique Jackson pulled in a career-high with 11 points in that contest too.
The Lady Bulldogs are 14-5 overall and 1-4 in the SEC. Mississippi State is looking to bounce back after a 73-65 loss to Texas A&M in College Station.
So far this season, the Bulldogs are led by three players who average double-figure points each game. Martha Alwal leads the way averaging 15.3 points per game, Kendra Grant and Dominique Dillingham are right behind with 12.5 and 10.2 points per game, respectfully.
When the in-state rivals tip-off it will be the teams’ 86th all-time meeting. Ole Miss holds a strong series lead at 62-23.
Fans, tip-off is slated for 6 p.m. in the Tad Smith Coliseum.
