Adrian Dickey recorded his sophomore album One More Good Night in Oxford before making the heartfelt, difficult decision to move to Philadelphia to pursue his dreams in songwriting and music. The album’s tracks are rich with the sweat of a number of Oxford musicians, but it might never see the light of day without backing via Kickstarter, to enable Dickey to release it. He has five days to reach his goal of a mere $2,500.
This Mississippi boy needs your help. Dickey updated his Kickstart project info with the following message:
I have joined up with the Philadelphia Songwriters Project and will have my first showcase on January 21st, 2014. I have also joined the Philadelphia chapter of The Recording Academy to help me with tools, networking, etc. in my music career. With my mom growing up in Greenville, my dad growing up inBrookhaven, my brother and sister living in Jackson for so long, myself growing up inTupelo and living in Oxford for most of my life, Mississippi has been my whole life…I will never forget my home, my family, my friends…this album is for you…
