Suspects Arrested, Charged In McClendon Murder Case

Hottytoddy.com received the following press release from the Lafayette County Sheriff’s office chief investigator on the Zacharias McClendon murder case, Alan Wilburn:
Three male subjects have been charged with Capital Murder at this time in the shooting death of Zacharias McClendon. They are: Steven Matthew Wilbanks, 22, of North Carolina: Derick Boone, 23, of Laurel, Miss.; and Joseph Lyons, 20, of Houston, Texas. Bonds have not been set at this time.
On December 18, 2013, Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department responded to a welfare concern at 20B CR 140, Lafayette County, Miss. At this location the body of 25-year old Zacharias McClendon, Gulfport, Mississippi, was found with a single gunshot wound. Details of the investigation are not being released at this time.
