Rebels Host ULM for Holiday Hoops

The Warhawks will visit the Tad Smith Coliseum to take on the Ole Miss Rebels in a holiday tip-off

The Ole Miss Rebels basketball team hosts the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks in the confines of the Tad Smith Coliseum on Wednesday night with tip-off slated for 6p.m.

Ole Miss’ (7-2) Jarvis Summers led the team in scoring with 25 points on Saturday in the 72-63 win over the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders. The Rebels had lost back-to-back contest to Kansas State and Oregon before beating the Blue Raiders.

Coach Andy Kennedy’s squad is led by senior Marshall Henderson who is averaging 17.9 points per game and Summers is close behind with 16.6 per game on the season.

The Rebels are currently ranked 48th in the nation in scoring, averaging 80.8 points per game.

Louisiana Monroe (3-2) comes into Oxford after dropping a 61-54 decision to LSU in Baton Rouge.  So far this season, the Warhawks are averaging 71.8 points per game, which has them sitting at 213 in the nation in scoring.

Senior Amos Olatayo is averaging 18.5 points per game when he is on the court.

Wednesday when Ole Miss and ULM meet it will be the Warhawks’ second consecutive game against an SEC opponent. The Rebels hold the all-time series lead over Louisiana-Monroe with a 14-4 advantage. The Rebel’s last win over the Warhawks came back in 2011 when they won 60-38.
