Hailing from Vicksburg, songwriter Zechariah Lloyd Tillotson will perform at Snackbar Wednesday, December 4, starting around 9:30. Here’s a clip of Tillotson performing on an episode of local series The Oxford Sessions.
Tillotson was born in Choctaw territory of North Mississippi and raised in Vicksburg.
Some artists that he has shared the stage with are Garry, Duwayne, and Kent Burnside; Kenny Brown; Cameron Kimbrough; Blind Mississippi Morris; Bill “Howlin Mad” Perry; Scott Albert Johnson; Rob Jungklas; national touring act Bret Mosley; and in July of 2013, he shared the bill with legendary Johnny Winter at the Oxford Blues Festival.
Tillotson has been busy laying tracks at Tweed Recording in Oxford for an EP, slated for release in early 2014.
