Metrocast Introduces Wi-Fi Hotspot on The Square

photo 5 (8)MetroCast Communications made access to high-speed Internet away from home easier for their Oxford customers by providing Wi-Fi Hotspots on The Square.

The hotspots provide free wireless internet access to customers who already subscribe to MetroCast High Speed Internet or High Speed Ultra. To obtain access, customers must sign on to the “CableWiFi” server then provide their MetroCast account information.

After providing the necessary credentials, any laptop, cell phone, tablet or mobile device will be connected to the hotspots and users can surf the web at high-speeds while they stroll The Square, eat lunch or study at the coffee shop.

“Our customers will now get even more value from their MetroCast High Speed Internet service,” said MetroCast Regional Manager Rick Ferrall. “Customers will enjoy access to the Internet outside the home, which not only is a great convenience, but also will allow users to save on their cellular data plans.”

This addition to the MetroCast service came after the company began to provide in-home wi-fi options and boosted their wired internet speeds earlier this year.

Below are instructions from MetroCast Communications on how to access the hotspots.
