Winning car from Toyota will allow YAC to take art to the people.
The Yoknapatawpha Arts Council has been chosen for yet another important opportunity.
Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good Campaign has reached out to the YAC and offered them a chance to win a new outreach vehicle that will allow them to take arts education and outreach programs into the communities, schools, and neighborhoods who need them the most.
“We have a wonderful setup here in the Powerhouse,” says Wayne Andrews, YAC director, “but everyone has to come here. If we were to have a vehicle dedicated to going directly into neighborhoods and communities who need us the most, we would be able to give so much more.”
On November 15, YAC and four other nonprofit organizations will have one day to try to receive the most votes for their cause.
“At the end of the day, whoever has the most votes on 100CarsForGood.com will win,” says Andrews. “So we are reaching out once again to ask everyone to please vote for us, and please ask everyone you know to vote for us as well.”
Voting for YAC will only take place on November 15 and happens on 100CarsForGood.com. You must have a Facebook account to vote.
