Honored scouts take path to Eagle.

Twenty-six Boy Scouts from Oxford’s Troop 45 and Troop 146 began the path  to earning the rank of Eagle by participating Nov. 4 in the monthly merit badge program organized by Troop 45, sponsored by First Presbyterian Church of Oxford.

John Alexander, an Eagle Scout and member of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Mississippi, taught the Scouts the Citizenship In the Nation Merit Badge. Scouts studies the constitution, the federal government, visited a national historic land mark and toured a courtroom in the U. S. District Court in Oxford.
