Dunlap Painting to be Auctioned at Harvest Supper
Bids accepted in-person and via phone at the University Museum and Historic Houses
Distinguished-artist William Dunlap’s “Lowering Sky” will be available for auction as part of the annual Harvest Supper fundraiser, which benefits the University Museum and Historic Houses. The painting, which was donated by the artist, is a watercolor on paper and measures 9.25″ x 36″ framed.
The Harvest Supper takes place Thursday, October 10, at 7 p.m. on the grounds of Rowan Oak. A limited number of tickets are available from the museum for $125 each. Read more about the event here.
Those who cannot attend may submit bids for the painting prior to the event by calling the museum or visiting in person before 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9. Bidders who make an in-person bid at the museum will receive a copy of the bid sheet as an acknowledgement of the agreement to bid. Telephone bidders will receive an email confirmation to the bid placed over the phone. The email is the verification of responsibility of the placed bid. Bidders will receive a scanned copy of the bid form.
All arrangements for bidding should be made as early as possible. The museum will review each bid and may request additional information to secure the bid. The museum accepts no responsibility for failure to execute any bid.
