Women’s Basketball Releases TV Games And Times
Ole Miss Will Have Five Televised SEC Games
The Ole Miss women’s basketball team will have five SEC games televised, including three home games, the league office announced on Wednesday (Sept. 25). Additionally, all 13 games of the SEC Championship will be televised.
“This is a great opportunity to showcase our program and University,” said head coach Matt Insell. “We are looking forward to showing national and regional audiences what Ole Miss women’s basketball and Oxford are all about.”
The SEC, in the fifth year of its agreement with ESPN, will have 58 regular season games and all 13 tournament games televised live. Eighteen games that involve an SEC team will be distributed nationally with ESPN or ESPN2 televising ten contests and ESPNU televising eight.
Regionally-syndicated games will be shown on SEC TV as part of ESPN Regional Television (ERT). SEC TV will televise eight conference games while Sport South and Comcast Sports Southeast will show 16 games each. The majority of games not televised nationally will be available as a part of ESPN Full Court, the pay subscription college basketball out-of-market service, and on ESPN3. All programming on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU will be available on computers at WatchESPN.com and on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider.
Ole Miss will have three home games televised this season, those games include: vs. LSU January 13 at 1 p.m., on SEC TV, vs. Florida on February 2 at 1 p.m. on SEC TV and vs. Tennessee on February 6 at 8 p.m. on Comcast Sports Southeast.
Other televised games are: at Tennessee January 9 at 6 p.m. on Comcast Sports Southeast and at Kentucky February 13 at 6 p.m. on Sport South. Additionally, Ole Miss’ non-conference match up with Baylor on December 18 will also be televised on Fox Sports Southwest Plus. That game will tipoff at 6 p.m. in Waco, Texas.
All game times listed are Central Time. More televised games might be added as opponents announce their third tier telecasts.
Fans are reminded that the Rebels will be tipping off an hour earlier than normal for their weekday home games, debuting a 6 p.m. start time for the 2013-14 season. All times are subject to change.
