[VIDEO] Carson Otter’s Condition Improves
Carson Otter, the Ole Miss student that was attacked early Saturday morning, is continuing to recover from injuries he sustained in the attack that took place at the intersection of Trinity Street and East 7th Street in Austin, Texas.
Otter is recovering and in KHOU Houston’s exclusive interview with Carson Otter’s parents, they say that he is awake, sitting up on his own and is able to communicate. Otter is able to remember certain things in the past, like who his friends and parents are, but he doesn’t remember much from the night of the attack.
From eye witness testimony, the Austin Police Department (APD) has said that an argument occurred between Otter and passengers of a silver four door Honda sedan. According to the APD, the argument was not about the Ole Miss-Texas game that was scheduled to happen Saturday night.
Also, according to the APD, Otter was not wearing any Ole Miss colors or memorabilia. KHOU in Houston reports that Otter was wearing a burnt orange shirt at the time of the attack. Detectives have a few leads that they are working on in the case but the APD is not releasing any information on those leads at this time. No arrests have been made in the investigation.
