The Mississippi Flood Futbol Club (MFFC) has experienced phenomenal results in each of its first two soccer tournaments. The MFFC is north Mississippi’s only all competitive, D1, soccer program. In its first year, the Flood has competed in two early tournaments.

The first tournament in Jackson, TN, the Blue Suede Soccer tournament consisting of 108 teams from areas including Memphis, Nashville, teams from Kentucky and Alabama, the Flood took 8 teams, in 7 divisions and competed in 6 championship games. The Flood teams won 60% of their games and exceeded a 2:1 goals for vs goals against ratio.

The Flood was able to repeat this success in its second tournament last weekend at Mike Rose Soccer Complex in Memphis, TN. This tournament hosted approximately 200 teams from across the Southeast. The Flood continued its success at the Soccer Elite by playing in 5 championship games and again outscoring their opponents by 2:1.

The initial goal of the MFFC was to compete with other elite programs and the Flood is excited about the competing with established programs in such a short period of time. The Flood credits this success to excellent qualified coaching and strong commitment from parents of the young boys and girls.

The MFFC is comprised of soccer players from all over north Mississippi including Oxford, Greenwood, Amory, Grenada, Batesville, New Albany, and Pontotoc. The Oxford Lafayette Sportsplex has 5 international soccer fields and will begin construction on its travel baseball fields in the near future. If you or someone you know has a young boy or girls who is interested in competing at the D1 level in north Mississippi, please have them contact director@msfloodfc.com.
