Treme Author Makes Stop in Oxford

Lolis Elie, a screenwriter for the hit HBO series Treme and author of Treme, Stories and Recipes from the Heart of New Orleans (Chronicle Books, $29.95), read from his new book on Thursday evening at Lamar Lounge.

Elie, a New Orleans native and former metro writer for The New Orleans Times Picayune, was the guest of honor at the book-signing event that featured New Orleans cuisine featured in both the TV series and the book.

Oxford was the most recent stop on a book  tour that is taking the author to cities in Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas and California.
