Literacy Council Invites Children to Join 2013 BookArt Contest
The Lafayette County Literacy Council Announces the 2013 BookArt Contest
The Lafayette County Literacy Council invites children from grades Pre-K through 12th to design a greeting card that promotes reading, or is about their favorite book.
Contest finalists will be chosen to have their artwork enlarged and displayed at the Lafayette County and Oxford Public Library during the month of September, as well as printed on greeting cards.
The greeting cards will be sold to support the Literacy Council’s programs for children and adults.
The winning entries must:
–– include the signed parental permission form on the entry form
–– be submitted in the space allotted on the entry form
–– be easy to reproduce (bright colors and well-defined lines)
Contest entry forms are available from art teachers and librarians at area schools, and the Lafayette County and Oxford Public Library. Forms must be returned by August 28.
