Remember when Coke was a sign at every college and high school football field and the only brand sold in Oxford and most other schools in Mississippi? Coke as well as Chevron, are two iconic brands that have been a part of the Oxford scene for at least two generations. Chevron at “four corners” (intersection of University and Lamar) and Lindsey’s Chevron at the intersection of North Lamar and Jefferson, are familiar to generations of students and parents. Chevron at “four corners” is know for its chicken-on-a stick, a late night treat when bars close.
