Chi Psi and ADPi Return to the Ole Miss Campus
Chi Psi fraternity and Alpha Delta Pi sorority plan to return to the Ole Miss campus this fall.
Chi Psi, which left the Ole Miss campus around 2004, is returning to Ole Miss with plans to build a fraternity house on the lot next to the Kappa Alpha house on Fraternity Row.
Alpha Delta Pi is also planning a comeback. According to alumna Kate Asbury Larken of Opelika, Al, the Alpha Delta Pi chapter will build on a lot across from Alpha Omicron Pi, on the west side of Rebel Drive behind Stockard and Martin halls. The Alpha Delta Pi chapter left Ole Miss in mid 1990.
“Alpha Delta Pi left our campus in 1995. The chapter closed due to declining membership numbers and active members were immediately converted to alumna status,” said Dr. Thomas J. Reardon, Ole Miss Assistant Vice Chancellor/Dean of Students. “We are really excited about their coming back. Just this past weekend over 130 alumnae showed up for a reunion and if their enthusiasm is indicative of the future of this chapter, this colonization is going to be a huge success.”
Alpha Delta Pi is set to build a house on Rebel Drive, and host a late rush this fall.
“The University of Mississippi fraternity and sorority community is buzzing with excitement with the return of Alpha Delta Pi,” said Jenell Bukky Lanski, Ole Miss Coordinator of Greek Affairs. “We look forward to ADPi ‘Coming Home’ to the University of Mississippi in the fall!”
There are 9 Panhellenic sororities on campus now, with ADPi coming in as the 10th.
