Fadol Brown Signs With Ole Miss Football
OXFORD, Miss. – Hugh Freeze and the Ole Miss coaching staff have added one more to the Rebels’ impressive 2013 signing class with the addition of sophomore transfer Fadol Brown.
Brown, a 6-4, 275-pound defensive lineman, joins a recruiting class that made waves across the country on National Signing Day and was a consensus top-10 rated class by the major recruiting services.
A native of Charleston, S.C., Brown played at Florida International University last year as a freshman, registering eight tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks in 10 games. After leaving the school, he was recruited by most of the Southeastern Conference schools and several others before deciding to be a Rebel. He is rated a three-star prospect by Rivals.com.
Brown was the Class AA Lineman of the Year and Region 6-A Defensive Player of the Year his senior season at Charleston’s Burke High School in 2010. He made 107 tackles, including 35 TFLs and 15 sacks while helping Burke to the Region 6-A title and a state playoff berth. A two-time all-region selection, he also played tight end and had 28 catches for 420 yards and two touchdowns as a senior. Brown enrolled at FIU in the spring of 2012.
He will sit out the 2013 season due to NCAA transfer rules and will then have three years to play three for the Rebels.
Freeze also announced on Tuesday that sophomore quarterback Maikhail Miller has elected to transfer.
