An Original John Hancock
This letter was written by John Hancock to Nathanael Greene, Major-General of the Continental Army, on 15 November 1776. The letter acknowledges the receipt of an intelligence report from Greene, and the passing of the intelligence to Virginia and South Carolina. The letter is part of the Skipwith Revolutionary War Collection. For more information on the collection, see its online finding aid. Editor’s Note: This historic letter from the University Archives’ Skipwith Revolutionary War Collection is the first in a new weekly series of posts on hottytoddy.com highlighting the University of Mississippi’s Department of Archives and Special Collections, J.D. Williams Library.
