The No. 7 ranked Ole Miss men’s tennis team (11-4, 4-2) will look to rebound from tough losses to No. 4 Kentucky and No.13 Vanderbilt when they hit the road this weekend for matches at LSU and Arkansas.

The Rebels first head to Baton Rouge to face LSU on Friday at 3 p.m. at the W.T. Robinson Tennis Stadium.  LSU is coming off a 4-3 upset at then No. 11 Texas A&M last week in their last SEC match.  The Tigers are led by sophomore Chris Simpson, who recently defeated No. 15 ranked Evan King of Michigan.

“LSU is coming off a big win against Texas A&M and it is always tough playing in Baton Rouge,” head coach Billy Chadwick said.  “As usual the SEC is the strongest conference in the country, and the fact that all the teams are beating each other makes every match so important.”

Ole Miss continues to be led by sophomore Nik Scholtz and senior Jonas Lutjen.  Scholtz is ranked No. 14 in the nation with a 9-3 record at No. 1 singles, while Lutjen comes in at No. 13 with a 7-5 record at No. 2 singles.  The two combine to form the No. 6 ranked doubles team in the nation with a 12-2 record at the top spot.  William Kallberg and Stefan Lindmark are also ranked in singles, at No. 69 and No. 99, respectively.

On Sunday, the Rebels will continue their road stretch against Arkansas at the Billingsley Tennis Center at 12:30 p.m.  Senior Gregoire Lehmann leads the Razorbacks at No. 1 singles, while Manfred Jeske and Mike Nott team up at No. 1 doubles.

The Rebels have won seven of the last eight against LSU and 25 in a row versus Arkansas.
