Mini Masters and More Stimulate Art and Education
Two upcoming events at UM Museum
The University Museum is hosting a couple events in the next several days, for both ends of the educational chain.
Educators are invited to attend Evening with the Educators, Thursday, March 21 from 7 to 9 p.m., which includes a wine and cheese reception, gallery tour, and talk by guest speaker Professor Cory Lewis. The talk and tour will explore ways that the Museum collections and programs can be utilized by teachers in the classroom and is free for teachers, professors, education majors, and all interested educators. Mini Masters, Tuesday, March 26 from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m., is a fun, drop-in workshop for toddlers and a parent/guardian at the museum. For this workshop, Mini Masters will be inspiredby the recent exhibition, “Independent Expression: Self-taught Art of the Late 20th Century,” and create Folk Art Sculptures.
