Outdoor event in Taylor take advantage of warm weather from 1 to 7 p.m.—with shuttle service

The Oxford Music Festival, previously slated to begin at 4 p.m. at Plein Air in Taylor, will now start at 1 p.m., allowing music lovers to enjoy what promises to be a warm, sunny afternoon of tunes. The music will continue until around 7 p.m. What’s more, round-trip shuttle service is available from the Ford Center to Plein Air for $10.

The event was previously announced to be slated for the Grove on the same date, but logistics required a change of venue.

Artists scheduled include headliner Shannon McNally, fresh from recording an album, with Dr. John, in tribute to the late Bobby Charles. The lineup includes Tyler Keith & the Apostles, Deux Filles de Sangin, Damien Wash, the Legit Jazz Sextet, the Red Thangs, Adrian Dickey, the Eric Deaton Trio, and DJ Gordo, as well as a performance by Hinge Dance Company. Moon Pie Curtis will serve as master of ceremonies and perform songs between the sets.

Watch this video to find out more about the recent venue change and the music acts. Note that the video still references the later time frame, but it is now set to run from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m.
