Key Field
In Meridian, the airport is named Key Field. The name was derived from a pair of brothers who ran a flying school there. In 1935, to attract attention to the financially struggling airport, the brothers set the World Record for continuous flight–27 consecutive days aloft. That record has never been equaled.
